Q: Hey Miranda, let’s get some basics out of the way: what was your job title before taking the Scaleable Digital Sales Systems workshop, and what is your current job title after your promotion?
A: I was originally hired as a Marketing Specialist, and now I’m the current Marketing Manager for my employer.
Q: Let’s talk about some of the skills you learned in the workshop. Any general examples you can give where those skills helped you get promoted?
A: The skills I learned allowed me to cut through the clutter of potential marketing activities and find the projects that would actually move the needle. Learning how to understand the analytics for my business’s marketing really helped identify things that were working, and things that weren’t working. Dylan’s workshop also gave me the ability and confidence to communicate what I was seeing in the analytics, as well as my recommendations and decisions, to the rest of my team and management.
Q: What specific skills or knowledge did you gain from the workshop that you found most valuable?
A: Dylan’s workshop spends a lot of time focusing on understanding how to set up conversion tracking, and the logic I needed to make my conversion tracking impactful. Since we’re a purely digital business, knowing how and why to track each step of our conversion funnel has been crucial - it informs so many of the decisions I make and impacts many different parts of our business.

A: Using data to back up my strategy is really important. It helps me understand the potential impact of different actions, and to prioritize my limited team resources accordingly.

A: Because I’m so much more comfortable analyzing our marketing performance, I was able to make our digital advertising spend way more effective, especially on Facebook, with more results at lower costs. Because that’s what every marketer wants, right?
